How Involved Is The Juvederm® Procedure?
Juvederm® is a minimally invasive procedure that’s administered via injection. The gel is injected into the target areas of the face with a very fine needle. The procedure doesn’t involve surgical incisions or anesthesia, so it usually takes less than an hour to complete. Juvederm® is a popular “lunchtime” procedure for people who are looking for a quick way to enhance their appearance, and patients are free to resume their normal routine immediately after treatment.
How Long Is The Recovery After Juvederm®?
Since Juvederm® injections don’t involve surgical incisions or anesthesia, there is zero downtime following the procedure and patients can resume their normal daily routine almost immediately after treatment. Mild swelling, bruising, and redness are normal side effects of Juvederm®, which should diminish over the course of 24 to 48 hours. Dental work, facial massages, and any other applications that could place undue pressure on the face may compromise the results of Juvederm® injections and should be avoided for at least two weeks after treatment.
